Another thing I recently learned is that the Republicans are sabotaging bills, that they’d otherwise be in favour of, so that Trump can run a demagoguery platform on them - the border situation came up. This isn’t a political party that seems interested in good governance so much as getting into power.
And the people that support them seem utterly disinterested in anything other than “we want our team to win!” Ignoring the fact that their “team” has only two related goals - enrich the wealthy and enrich themselves.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
