Performance uplift over the original model will only be in the 5-10% range. The battery life will be double though. The SD Card slot issue that they won't really cop to should be resolved.The main issue is if you happen to get a bad unit, Asus' RMA situation is incredibly suspect.

Honestly, I'd wait for the AMD Strix Point based handhelds. The design addresses one of the biggest issues with these handhelds, memory bandwidth. So unless you find some great deal, I think you should wait.

Thanks for the post.  I do think I'm going to wait for a bigger jump.  Especially when a good jump shouldn't be far off.
