It still released under MS control though. If it's quality wasn't good enough they had the power to delay the release of the game, so his point is still valid

It's not that simple though since it would've needed a big delay to make a significant difference and there's gonna be a COD coming out this year and they're not gonna release two close together. The one coming this year is supposed to have four years of development which is a series first so sacrificing the 2023 one to keep things in order for this year for the one that actually matters makes sense I think. 2025-2026 should be when the impact of the acquisition starts being felt.
