Barely any games were being released for PS2 in 2013. And that's where they make the money.
How much did they make on a sold PS2, which went for $99 in the US after 2009?

I'd wager those sales were primarily people replacing their broken PS2's to play the games they already had, and probably not buying new non existant games.

Just because you earn some money doing something doesn't mean it's worth doing when you could invest that portion into making substantially more elsewhere.

I wouldn't cite a figure if we hadn't reached it, so I wouldn't round down. But maybe he would.
It's an unspecific rounded number one way or another, so it's probably better to wait for an official specific number. (Which we'll possibly never get)
