Michael Moore warns Biden’s stance on Gaza could cost him election
American filmmaker Michael Moore has warned that Biden’s stance on the war in Gaza could cost him the presidential election in November. In an interview with MSNBC aired on Saturday, Moore said he was sounding the alarm to “save Biden from himself”.
“He is essentially guaranteeing that thousands and thousands of Americans are going to stay home and not vote on election day, because they are not going to vote for Trump. But this is how Trump can win because that 150,000 he won by in 2020, Hilary lost Michigan by just 11,000 votes,” Moore said.
More than 100,000 voters in Michigan, which has one of the biggest Muslim populations in the US, cast a vote for “uncommitted” in Tuesday’s Democratic primary in protest against Biden’s stance on Gaza. Biden’s prospects in Michigan in November have become a growing concern for Democrats as the state is among a handful of battlegrounds likely to determine the outcome of the election.
