Hey look, it's all the gameplay FFVersusXIII was supposed to have; in a massive, immersive and interactive open world with physics and complex AI. And this is just one of 9 playable vocations so far.

Amazing what you can do when you're not renaming your games, trying to turn them into musicals, or remaking a 30yr old game as a 10-15yr trilogy project.

Less than two years between Dragon's Dogma II being announced and released, only a year after the first reveal trailer. That's some service if you ask me.

Actually that video reminds me a lot Final Fantasy XV - the animations and all too which is pretty nice. I didnt get into the first Dragon's Dogma because it looked like a bland WPRG like game (I really should play more WPRGs and the first Dragon's Dogma to give it a try).

You can complain about SE's dealings with the FF series as much as you want but I'd honestly take anything they give over majority of other games and from other companies - there's so much variety like you mentioned original new games, spinoffs and remakes - wish more companies would be more open to do remakes like they have been (I'm not talking about FF7 remake but a lot of the other actual remakes they did like Star Ocean, Romancing SaGa, Mana series, etc).

Also about FF VII Remake...

Spoiler!
(Also Final Fantasy VII Remake "Trilogy" isnt a remake - its a sequel).

I wish Capcom would be more courageous when it comes to their RPGs as much as SE is at least, it really seems like they only have confidence in Monster Hunter. Considering Breath of Fire has been a dead IP, Deep Down has been canceled more than likely at this point and Dragon's Dogma 1 (original release on PS3/X360) didnt sell as much as they thought it would which is why it took them more than a decade to greenlight Dragon's Dogma 2.

Lets hope Dragon's Dogma 2 sells more than the first game (and its remaster which seem like it sold a lot more than the original) and actually warrants them to invest on the IP more.
