Pokemon's official channels report that the game is coming to "Nintendo Switch systems". That sounds like it will be a B/C release.

Not necessarily. Twilight princess for GC could also be played through Wii's BC but it didn't stopped them to release both versions. They are not going to spill the other platform that is not announced yet
