As far as Avatar the Last Airbender goes:
The animated is still my favorite version.
The movie is the most disappointing.
This live action remake falls somewhere in the middle.
There's a few things I would nitpick, but it's so much better than the movie and much more faithful to the animated series even if pacing and certain events were removed.
I game. You game. We game.
I'm a videogamer, not a fanboy, but have a special place for Nintendo.
