The customer base is just not the same as the PC. MS want to be big on all platforms so yes they will continue hardware because its the perfect and more stable platform to sell their other big investment, Gamepass. While I do believe that MS will be doing something more in the PC space, still, consoles still provide them with a steady revenue and profits. So if anyone is believing MS is leaving the console market anytime soon, its probably going to be a decade before see any plans along those lines.
