Far less likely for this to happen to Nintendo, most Nintendo games are very cheap and don't require a ton of resources, most games don't focus on texturing every small detail. Only games that Nintendo makes that I can see having pretty high budgets are Smash Bros, Zelda, and maybe 3D Mario as well.

Nintendo games also typically sell far more than Sony's, Super Mario Party alone has outsold all but 3 PS exclusives in history. Nintendo games could easily sell between 25-40M on the regular, and they very rarely go down in price while Sony needs to apply heavy discounts just to sell over 10M Units. Nintendo has created such dominant IP with relatively small budgets to the point where Nintendo won't need to worry about it for a very long time, potentially never.

How many discounts has Spider-Man 2 had? What about Ragnarök? What were the extent of the price cuts? When did they happen?

While we're not going to turn this into a Nintendo vs Sony thread (this goes for everyone), I'm curious to know how you reached this conclusion.

Did you decide to read my post above yours? I think it explains things.
