We're hitting diminishing returns certainly, things look better but it's not as big of a deal.

Secondly, we're hitting a budget wall too ... you can talk about better graphics all you want, but where do you think that comes from? It doesn't come for free. From a staff that needs to be bigger and bigger and needs to be paid money for longer hours.

There's a reason CG movies cost hundreds of millions of dollars to produce, those levels of visuals don't come for free.

With Spider-Man 2 I played it for like 15 minutes and then turned it off and haven't had any itch to return to it. Yeah it's a nice game, but it's just more of the same thing and I just don't have the desire to put another 20-30 hours into the same kind of experience over and over again unless the gameplay is really, really special.

Did you buy the game expecting something different than what was shown in the trailers?  $70 to play a game for 15 minutes, isn't the best ROI for you.

I just feel like these games are becoming a chore to play rather than something I want to play. The whole "well you paid $70 so you better play it!" guilt trip even isn't working.

It's a fine game, I'm sure, but it just feels like a lot of "been there, done that", and do I really want to spend 20 some odd hours forcing myself to play it. The graphics are alright, they didn't really blow me away, it still feels like a PS4 game on steroids. I played it for about 15-20 minutes, watched my brother play it for another 30-40 minutes, just don't have an itch to want to play it more.
