Hardware and software sales were better for Wii + DS, but the WiiU and 3DS can still play those games, and even give them a higher quality, 1080i.

But if you look at it from the point of view of when it happened, there is a reason why Wii + DS sold 255+ millions, and WiiU + 3DS not even 90.

Switch: 160 million (was 120 million, then 140 million, then 150 million)

PS5: 130 million (was 124 million)

Xbox Series X/S: 54 million (was 60 million, then 57 million)
