I know how the list works but it's feels kinda sad to me. Yes they are superb games but the best? FF7 is my favourite FF game but it's not the best. Wind Waker to me is better than all the other Zeldas. :P

Might have to note vote and just see how it goes.

All of these threads I've done are essentially popularity contests.  I don't think there is anything wrong with popularity contests, but you have to accept them for what they are.  I understand that many people are not going to see their favorite game of all time in this list.  I feel lucky that my favorite game of all time was on this list, but it didn't get many votes.

Out of these ten games, which do you think is the best?

Thanks.   And that goes for everyone else who has shown appreciation.  I appreciate the kind words.

I also think Zelda 1 is the best game on the list, although the list is full of great games.  Others have stated their rankings, so this is my personal ranking for them:

1. The Legend of Zelda
2. Final Fantasy VII
3. Super Mario Bros 3
4. Breath of the Wild
5. Space Invaders
6. Super Mario Galaxy
7. The Last of Us
8. Pong
9. Ocarina of Time (haven't played)
9. Resident Evil 4 (haven't played)

Kind of shocking you haven't played OoT tbh, it's the grandfather of Souls combat and modern 3D action-adventures/RPGs in general, on top of setting the blueprint for an era of excellent Zelda games to follow. I don't think it's nearly perfect, "only" #34 on my list of favorites this year, but definitely one of the most important games ever made (imo the 3DS remake is the best way to experience it these days just for the record).

I don't deny it's important, but everything you just said made it sound really unfun to me.  I don't find most 3D action games to be fun.  It would be easier to tell you the ones that I don't like than the ones I do.  But there are tons of 2D action games that I find fun.  So, when a person says how influential Ocarina is to 3D action games, I can only assume it is one of the main games responsible for ruining everything.  People say the same thing about Mario 64, and I do not like that game at all.

I would like to play Ocarina at some point to see what the fuss is all about, but I'm not terribly motivated to do it.  I'm much more likely to play Resident Evil 4 in the coming year than Ocarina.
