(Alternate name: Rollaway) Guessed by drbunnig Kula World is just a puzzle game. Or, 'just' a puzzle game? A very addictive and clever one at that. It is kind of an obscure game, though there's still quite some people out there that in the back of their head know this game exists. The objective is simply, to get to the 'exit'. On the way, you'll have to collect the keys to unlock said exit, and that's where the difficulty lies. As a ball, you can only move along the length of the beams you're rolling on and wrap around at the endpoints. It's also possible to jump from one beam to the other. The game has loads of levels, and at one point they get very challenging. Too much for me. I got far, but I never beat it. |

(Alternate name: Star Fox 64) Guessed by Jpcc86 One of the most famous games in existence, probably because Lylat Wars, more famously known as Star Fox 64, is overloaded with cheesy yet memorable one-liners and other interactions. The movie script writes itself. Luckily, it's also just a lot of fun to play, even today. In fact, I'm fairly certain this is the game I saw the end-credits sequence of most times. So much that I can still hear the music, note for note, in my head. Sadly we haven't seen a new game in this series that comes close to the awesomeness of this one. We should though, and if they can't think of anything great for a new game, they should just recycle this one again. Why not. |

(Alternate name: Asterix: The Gallic War) Guessed by Darashiva So, all the high profile Total War games in my list, four of them, lose out to this sort of kids version of those games. Astérix is basically a simple version of Total War's turn-based strategy campaign map, though it is in fact older, with some mini-games thrown in for variety. It is based on the Asterix comic, which is very popular in Europe, where the Romans conquered Gaul (France more or less) except this one village of indomitable Gauls. From there you'll have to reconquer all the regions. This is one of the few console games my best friend actually liked, and we played together. Even to this day, when I say "Mmmmm...", like the Roman character does when he makes his moves, in a particular way, he'll be reminded of this game. |

Guessed by Jpcc86 One of the early forays by Sony into the genre now abundant on PlayStation, MediEvil is still actually the best. It is a fun adventure game with tongue-in-cheek humour, fun puzzles and varied levels. Right up my alley. It's not necessarily very easy, but it also has a good difficulty curve which even my 11 year old self could happily follow, and I finished the game back then. On PlayStation 4, this game got a nice remake. The game remains basically the same, but of course with updated visuals and sound and redone cinematics. Playing it, I had as much fun as I had back in the day, and that says something. Though I'm doing it for over 20 years now, here's hoping one of these days there will be a MediEvil 3. |

Guessed by drbunnig I like humorous video games, if plenty of games throughout my list didn't already make that clear. It adds a bit of lightness to it, an extra layer of entertainment value. More 'fun'. And after all that's the only reason I'd play a video game; to have fun. Because otherwise what's the point? Too many games take themselves too seriously, and that drains the fun. Not Theme Hospital. I read that the developers at first endeavoured to make a serious, dare I say 'realistic', hospital simulation game. Imagine that, it would probably have been boring beyond belief, and definitely not as memorable. In that sense this game has everything a game ever needs really, and everything it needs to be timeless. 'Fun' doesn't expire, this game will remain fresh because of it. |
So, since we're about to enter the top 10, also known as the "absolute greatest games ever", here's the updated scoreboard for the guessing game. Quite a lot of different people have guessed a game, and not many went unguessed. drbunnig has taken a lead though. That has been different in some years (and I also seem to remember a year where TruckOSaurus guessed like 20 of my games), so thanks!
