To be fair, it does have 20% less CUDA cores and potentially 25% less bandwidth than a standard 3050, so we are probably looking at a part that is poorly named. Should be a 3040 6GB.

3030, as a continuation of the 1630 and 1030, would fit the curent naming scheme better. After all, NVidia didn't have any x40 cards anymore since Kepler. But for that the performance hit is probably not big enough yet.
