The Witcher 3
Very few games have a world so rich and well fleshed out. The sidequests are better written than the main quests of most games, and its all brought to life with superb visuals, voice acting, and gameplay design.
Honourable mention goes to Splatoon, for being so wonderfully fresh and creative that it managed to spawn a megaton new IP on the Wii U of all systems.
