Second hint makes it sound like a Guitar Hero game, in which case I'd guess Guitar Hero 3.

I'm talking about Through the Fire and Flames, the 'encore' at the end of the career mode. A ridiculous song really, and with Guitar Hero III's style of song transcription where they put extra notes to be played that in reality would be different instruments or people, or both, that song on the expert difficulty was basically only beatable by robots.
