38 is correct, very good!

37 is not. Though re-reading my own hint "palette swap" isn't really correct anyway, a better word would be "sprite swap". Changing that.

36 is very close. Not Metroid 2 (or the remake), but it can really be only one other.

Correct! It is A Link to the Past. It could have been Link's Awakening as well I guess, in that game the instrument is actually called 'Ocarina', but in LttP, while the instrument is just called 'Flute', its sprite is a blue Ocarina, exactly like the Ocarina of Time.

Both incorrect, 39 was close but the answer is A Link to the Past as drbunnig guessed right before you. Age of Empires II actually has something to do with one of those other hints though so that's funny.

And, your list is all JRPG, which is also an extra handicap for me when trying to guess things . I guess a lot depends on what your experience coincidentally wound up being through the years.

I guess 37 is Aoe2 HD or DE version.
