RE4 Remake is fundamentally more different than RE4 than TOTK/SM2 are to their predecessors, though.

It's not like it's just a remaster or a re-release.

Seems like a stretch.  RE 4 remake is amazing but other than a few sections being changed it is the same game.  At least 75% of the game is a better looking version of the original.  Tears had a whole new build system.  It had new shrines, temples, entire sky area and added the depths.  

Don't get me wrong I went through RE4 remake twice, superb game.  But I didn't find it that changed from the original.
