So DA Dreadwolf rumoured for next year. I’m just saying if next year we get Dragons Dogma 2, Avowed and DA:DW then boy I’m eating GOOD!

The only bad thing is that DA Dreadwolf will probably suck. The playtester leaks from earlier this year didn't sound very good at all. To summarize what I read from those leaks back in February:

  • The game still feels like it is GaaS even though it isn't, because it began life as a GaaS game in 2018 before EA decided to remove the GaaS elements in 2021 after Anthem flopped as GaaS and Jedi Fallen Order succeeded as a singleplayer only game, too late in development for it's GaaS DNA to be fully removed. Central hub area where you leave for missions via a magic mirror, UI elements and loot feel like a GaaS game.
  • Action RPG combat with dodging and timing critical parries that was described as playing like a combination of God of War 2018 and Final Fantasy XV, no party member control, instead they do normal attacks with their own AI while you can select party member special attacks from a radial menu like Guardians of the Galaxy, no overhead tactical cam or turn based option like DA Origins and DA Inquisition had.

Hopefully Bioware learned from the middling feedback from the playtests that they needed to at least add party member control and tactical cam ahead of launch, the last thing they should do is pull a Final Fantasy and remove the DNA of Dragon Age to chase something new.
