I know you said "most", but the fact they made the first two Tobey Spider movies (even the third has better values than most of the MCU crap) put them on very high regard in my personal book. INB4 someone says that "the spideys are now all part of the MCU, huehuehuehue, blehhhrrghhh, I'm thirty and live in my parents basement". |
Honestly, having just recently rewatched the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies for the first time since childhood, I thought only the second one was worth a damn. The other two were riddled with major issues and shortcomings. Even then, their merits have nothing to do with Sony as a company. Also, if I recall correctly, Avi Arad was mostly responsible for turning Spider-Man 3 into the mess that it was, because he cancelled Raimi's planned Spider-Man 4 in favor of a reboot that we all know was largely crap (even though Andrew Garfield is the best live-action Peter Parker we've had).
The only truly great Spider-Man movies are called Spider-Verse.
