Same here, I've never once paid for Gamepass. If you use bing instead of google for searching, take a few minutes to do all of the extra offers within Bing each day, take a few minutes each day to do the offers on the Microsoft Rewards app on Xbox, and play Gamepass games pretty often in order to get the 50 points per day for unlocking an achievement in a Gamepass game, it is pretty easy to keep Gamepass Ultimate going in perpetuity. If you open up the Xbox Rewards app on Xbox, there is an option to set it to auto-redeem 10,500 points for 1 month Gamepass Ultimate codes, to my knowledge that is currently the cheapest method of Gamepass Ultimate renewal points wise.
10,500 per month of Gamepass Ultimate, you get 250 points per day just for doing all of you daily Bing searches on both PC and mobile (7500 points in 30 days), you get another 50 per day for getting an achievement in a Gamepass game (1500 points in 30 days, plus whatever you get for completing the weekly and monthly Gamepass rewards, never added up what you get there), the daily and weekly offers on Bing are worth another roughly 1,500 points per month, the daily and monthly offers on the Microsoft rewards app for Xbox are worth another roughly 1200 points per month. All told you can earn over 12,000 points per month, with only 10,500 needed to keep Gamepass Ultimate going indefinitely.
Admittedly it's not as easy to keep Gamepass Ultimate going for free as it was in the past, Microsoft over time as taken away alot of Gamepass conversion loopholes and taken away some of the maximum possible points you could earn per month. They also used to have like a single week each year where you could buy codes with points at a hugely discounted rate, which you could use to buy a year or more worth of codes for cheap, and they no longer do that. But it is still possible to keep Gamepass Ultimate going indefinitely while spending no money.
