I don't think Larian and Sony have a good synergy. Larian games are very PC-centric and they are good with them.
While I believe Sony needs more strength in their JP output I can't think a single smaller JP studio to be worth it. Japan is a market where the relevant studios seems to be under a big publisher like Sega, Konami, Bandai, Square, Capcom...
Maybe they can buy From Software but I don't see the point, From Software is pretty big already
