VR will be a thing once it's like wearing a heavy pair of glasses and costs $150 or less. That's still a long way out.
Nintendo is probably doing some work prototyping the technology but I very much doubt we see anything next gen, in fact I hope we don't because it'd be a waste and they should definitely be spending their resources improving other things like their online setup.
