as a fan of square enix for years...they are some things i have noticed about their proyects.

square enix games ARE about graphics and sophisticated story telling... never intuitive controls..

before they used FMV to archive that.

even kh2 was on the ps2, it was one of the best looking games on the console, praised by IGN, gamespot and many sites pushing the ps2 to its limits.

their games get huge budget 30 millions+ to get most it can from the platform its developed...

kh3 on the wii right now its just wishful thinking...

even after announcing 358/2 tetsuya nomura gave some interviews... he said they won't use DS touch screen features for battle.

since he wants the kingdom hearts gameplay remain untouched and fans are familiar with it.

right now birth by sleep the important spinoff its on the PSP... and its going to be the one where they are going to announce where KH3 its going to be played.

yes 358/2 its just a roxas side story, nothing more nothing else organization 13th die in kh2 and that its, but birth by sleep its a whole sequel, its tells where it began, its root, why sora was choosen, why mickey is king, everything.

square still a mostly focusing on the psp, if not final fantasy dissidia would be on the DS... if they just wanted money... hell is money was a issue they would release everything on the DS.

no matter in which console kingdom hearts its released kh will be a huge million selling... square enix is not afraid of not making money.

yes companies are there to make money, but square enix use spinoff to archive the same effect.

we are talking from a company that spend 100 millions on animated movie: final fantasy movie: the spirit within, just to show they are better than pixar.

even if it was a box office failure they released advent children :)

If what you said about graphics was right, FFIII, FFIV, DQIV, DQV, DQVI, and Chrono Trigger would have been remade for PSP and not DS and DQIX would be on PSP because of the better graphic capabilities. In reality Square Enix wants to go to all platforms: DS/PSP/Xbox360/PS3/Wii. The area where they were playform exclusive is over. Thieir pourpose now is to deliver quality in all platforms. Besides, Nintendo's platforms never force developers to use the stylus or remote+nunchuk motion. They are free to choose whet they see fits better

why PSP looks more sequel-like game and the DS don't? It has little to do with the success on PS2, but more because the games were on PS2. Unlike Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts games revolve around one main story. PS2 owners in the past may very well have a PSP today, so it's logic to put that game on PSP because they understand the storyline alot more. On DS, the story is different, most owners don't have a clue about Kingdom Hearts, so they have to introduce them to the franchise with a story that's more independent from the main line and let the unknown facts be explained with the booklet or the game's cutscenes.

Then this rule out the possibility of KH3 on Wii because Wii owners don't have a clue on KH main plot Now this should be one arguement about KHIII I would love to see here ^_^ ... But with FFIV, FFV and FFVI on GBA and PS1 and Chrono Trigger on DS with the same graphics and minor changes, the idea of a Wii direct port of KH 1 and 2 for Wii in order to release KH3 on the same platform is not crazy (it may be the only PS2 ports Wii fans won't get angry at ... lol). And a direct port has low cost and quick time.

Advent children may be a successful movie, but the success was more influenced by the game itself than the quality of the movie.... If they had released a movie with an original story NOT RELATED to any game, would it be as successful as Advent Children? I doubt it

So you see... SquareEnix, as any company, HAS to make money and they HAVE to secure it
