Bring back Shawn Layden, the guy who actually knew what he was doing.

Aww man, we were about to see all the fruits of Jim Ryan's labor

I kept saying that Jim Ryan has been coasting by on Layden's projects. We get to the point where we see Jim Ryan's projects, mainly GAAS, and he leaves.......

Exactly, all of their successes were irons that were in the fire before Shawn Layden lost the rumored power struggle against Jim Ryan. Looking at the projects that are actually Jim Ryan backed, and we mainly have GaaS, GaaS, and more GaaS. We've got the GaaS multiplayer The Last of Us thing which is been cooking for like 3 years and still hasn't been announced, with a rumored setback causing a delay just earlier this year. We've got the Jade Raymond studio GaaS game called Fairgame$ which had an awful reception on announce with 3.3k likes and 13k dislikes. We've got the Concord multiplayer game from Firewalk, which wasn't that much better received than Fairgame$ with 2.5k likes and 4k dislikes. We've got that Playstation handheld streaming thing which seems almost certain to flop due to overpricing for it's feature set. Basically the only singleplayer first party game that Sony has announced out past Spider-Man 2 right now is Wolverine, from Insomniac just like Spider-Man 2. And due to recent release schedules and game development taking longer than ever before, their next 1st party singleplayer game other than Wolverine might not be until 2025 or possibly even 2026. Were it not for 2nd party deals and 3rd party hats, the 2nd half of this generation would be looking pretty bleak for Sony due to a major lacking of singleplayer games.
