What are talking about? Only playstation flop was vita. Anything that sells over 60 million is not a flop. Come on now playstation 5 is gonna sell 80 million at rate guaranteed. Just saying Nintendo brand as a home console was not doing good after the super nes.

PS3 and PSP lost their generations too, to the Wii and DS. PS3 also lost Sony billions of dollars, even at 87 million its hard to see it as a win for them.

PS5 will indeed top 80 million easily, but as to whether it wins its generation, that breaks down into how one wants to define its Nintendo competitor, Switch or Switch 2, and how all three fare in terms of final sales.
