I think my main issue with this TGS show is that Xbox doesn't seem to realize they have a bit of a JRPG problem, it's such an important genre. Last TGS they had some like Ni No Kuni, and to their credit there were some surprise JRPG announces earlier this year like DQ Infinity Strash, P5 Tactica, and FF14, but this TGS only had the late port on Octopath 2.

Where is Atelier? Koei Tecmo have now pretty much begged for a gamepass deal to start porting the series to Xbox 3 different times in the last 2 years, February 2022, September 2022, and March 2023, each time saying they would port the series if there was enough interest (a pretty strong hint, hint to Xbox that they want a Gamepass deal.

Where is Nihon Falcom? Both Stadia and Luna managed to get ports of some Ys and Legend of Heroes games, surely Xbox could make something happen here.

I can forgive the lack of FF7R, Phil did straight up say in the one Gamescom interview that there were some pre-existing Square deals they were trying to work around, seems like they are working out financials on a deal to end Sony's timed hat deals early and make that happen, so I can give them so more time on that one at least.

But overall I really want to see more progress on the JRPG issue and soon.
