As a PC only gamer since the end of the 360/PS3 era I'm still astonished how some console gamers still need these discs so badly.  To me it's almost as to see someone with a Walkman.

The big difference is that on PC there are multiple places to purchase games digitally (Steam, MS Store, Epic, GOG, etc) so there is some price competition. Although you can get many (but not all) digital console games from a few different sources other than the console's store, they don't tend to vary in price much.  That's the main reason I still buy physical console games...I usually can find them cheaper than digital, especially a couple months after launch.
