The 90s still win for me, simply because of the sheer quantity of masterpieces.
Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Super Metroid, Yoshi's Island, Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Starfox SNES and 64, Mario Kart SNES and 64, F-Zero SNES and X, they were delivering banger after banger like a machine gun firing gold bullets.
The 2000s and 2010s had some great games too, but they were let down a bit by the Gamecube and Wii U respectively, while the 80s were before my time as a gamer (and haven't aged well in my opinion) and it's too soon to call the 2020s in my view.
