I agree with you, OP.
Super Switch sounds good and we're about to hit the 90's nostalgia era so bringing to mind the SNES should be a good business move.
In regards to the WiiU, there was some confusion, not among core gamers but with the general public. I remember my Aunt thinking that the WiiU was just the gamepad and that it was a new accessory to the Wii, since 95% of the advertising was focused on the gamepad itself. It would have failed regardless given how the casual audience had moved on and many core gamers were turned off of Nintendo by the Wii's waggle tech, but the confusion certainly didn't help.
