The Kid Stuff trait in Starfield is such a good trait to choose. Sending your parents 2% of your credits each week is a small price to pay for what you get. The value of the gifts they give you, which are all unique items not available anywhere else in the game except via console commands on PC, far exceeds what you send them. They are also just really friendly and give you good advice. And for my fellow Star Trek fans, you may well recognize their voices

As your dad is voiced by Tim Russ (Tuvok from ST Voyager) while your mom is voiced by Nana Visitor (Kira from ST DS9).
