That is not what is being said. That is also a very poor rebuttal. 

Having the option for something superior and choosing to opt for the inferior way of playing a MP game is what the argument is about. It's a feature only a small minority use, it's not worth delaying a game indefinitely for. 

When BG3 releases on the X/S, the masses are not going to care about the split screen mode. Majority play BG3 for the single player campaign however they still have the option for MP via Online. This is literally a nothing burger.

If it means that much to you and you own a S, well thank the lord your file is crossed saved, so trade in the S and get the X and your problem has been solved.
