So Bioware announced they laid off 50 people, and confirmed that Mass Effect Next is still in pre-production, nearly 3 years after it's announcement. Crazy how early they announced their 2 currently in development games, Dragon Age 4/Dreadwolf was announced December 2018 and is looking like it will release nearly 6 years later Holiday 2024. Mass Effect Next meanwhile was announced December 2020, and considering that it is still in pre-producution in August 2023, and the fact that active development will likely take 4 years at a minimum once it begins, we are likely looking at active development starting soon after Dragon Age 4 releases in 2024, and release at a minimum 4 years later, so Holiday 2028, 8 years after it's announcement.
