Will depend on your display size. But yes there isn't a big enough jump in power for 8k30fps and the assets would be more costly.

I can't imagine many people 100 inch displays.  Sometimes tech is just a gimmick.  8k is a gimmick except special situations.

Given 4k we have hit a point where panel quality is more important than resolution.
