So the gap should be under 1m by the end of the year, then Japan still has high sales first week or two in January so Switch has a good chance to overtake DS lifetime in Q1 2024. (though my guess would be April)

At this point it feels like a matter of when and not if the Switch will outselling the DS in Japan. Worldwide though is still an if. It really comes down to when the Switch successor launches.
