If Nintendo waits a long time for a Switch successor, what do you think will happen?

I can see them taking a good time to test the prototypes and look for eventual problems to fix before the mass production. A privilege they didn't have with the hurry to replace Wii U lol, so that's maybe why we see a lot of problems with the joy cons

Also during mass production gathering stock so they don't repeat the severe stock issues they had in the beginning with Switch 

As stock goes I don't think that's a problem that can really be solved given the type of demand and situation Switch had it was doing record breaking numbers which in itself is impossible to anticipate plus we had the chip shortage. They can build up stock but anything close to the demand we've seen isn't likely to be solved.
