To be honest, anyone expecting Hellblade to be "Microsoft's God of War" was just setting themselves up for disappointment with unrealistic expectations based on nothing concrete, Lol. How do you go from Hellblade, a linear, high budget AA, mostly walking simulator with an emphasis on mental health, to God of War, a huge open world, 30+ hour videogame playing as a God fighting other Gods so the game is largely constant combat.

That is NOT me saying that the game shouldn't have a much improved combat system because it absolutely should as that was one of the major let downs of Hellblade I but I anticipate this follow-up even with improved combat will still largely be linear, with puzzles and a story focused on mental health again, which I enjoyed, I liked the message behind the game, I just want the combat to be better for those fighting moments.

Not to mention Ninja Theory is like half the size of Santa Monica, Lol. These comparisons often feel unfair to me, this game will be X's "Insert Game" based on nothing...Hellblade will be Microsoft's Hellblade, Lol. We already know what Hellblade is as an IP. How can you expect it to change into something completely different based on nothing, Lol.

Again, I'm not saying they shouldn't improve the combat because they absolutely should, I just don't like comparisons like this because they often come from nowhere, no statement from the developer themselves and set unrealistic expectations.

Well HellBlade is an action RPG 3rd person game in the same vein as GOD of War, the difference is that it does not play well as a action 3rd person game.  Even the story puzzles become boring to a point.  No I would say I was not expecting it but I sure wish MS had a game of that quality and level as a first party game.  This is the type of game that NT have made throughout their career so if any studio that MS owns that could accomplish that task its NT.

What I was hoping is that NT would flesh out the action part of the game from its really basic feel but each trailer I see, it looks even more boring to play in that respect then before.

What you do not understand is that I do not care if the game is linear, that is not a curse word to me.  I prefer a more tighter experience then all the fluff that open world games put into their environment to seem longer, basally a map full of icons. Maybe I should change it to something along the lines of Devil May Cry.  A very action based linear experience with fun action gameplay mechanics.  I even loved NT rendition of Devil May Cry.  What Hellblade is and what it appears to be going for, I just do not believe its going to be that "Must have experience" the game could be.  If you are spending a 3rd of the game actually doing the action stuff, so far Hellblade looks like it will not satisfy on that level which will probably mean a miss for myself.  Oh well we will see how it shake out next year.
