Raison Varner, formerly the Music Director and one of the co-composers at Gearbox, is the Audio Director and Composer on Avowed. He did great work on Borderlands, especially on the Tiny Tina fantasy DLC for Borderlands 2, so I have no doubt that he is up to the task of making a good fantasy score for Avowed. Here are some of his Borderlands tracks, both fantasy/orchestral and modern/electronic:
No idea who is on Fable's soundtrack. The Audio Director on Fable previously worked on the first 4 Forza Horizon games, going from Audio Designer Tier 1 on FH1, to Audio Designer Tier 2 on FH2, to Senior Audio Designer on FH3, to Lead Audio Designer on FH4. Sometimes the Audio Director on a game does the soundtrack, but that is not always the case, sometimes they hire a Composer separately from the Audio Director, so I'm not sure if he is doing Fable Soundtrack or not. Considering Forza Horizon relies more so on it's licensed music radio stations than it's original soundtrack, I kind of doubt they would put Music Composition responsibilities for a game as important as Fable on an audio designer who has only worked on Forza Horizon games in the past, so I'm leaning toward there being a separate composer for Fable.
