I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the 360 could have sold 10 million more than it has now, and we wouldn't even be seeing Sony as a serious competitor. My line of thought being that, while it would have sold a modest 2-2.5 million more in the first year (when RRoD hate was at the highest), but, as we've seen in this thread, there are quite a few who would have gotten 360 INSTEAD of their purchased PS3. Ergo, 360 would have had even higher weekly sales over the PS3 than it did early on, while PS3 would have had less.

The PS3's price cut would likely have pushed the sales higher, but not to the levels they're at now, as some people just wanted a cheap, reliable console, no matter what brand, and the 360 would have been that brand.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
