@Leo-J: So, we are talking about the time period of 9-21 months after launch.

The big difference here is, that PS3 isn't the winning console, unlike PS2 was. When PS2 was gaining more and more momentum with increasing number of big titles, PS3 is not winning and the biggest hitters are already out (not counting FF13). The support PS3 is getting, is mostly multiplatform releases with 360, while 3rd party exclusives are going for the Wii. Sales numbers (as in raw numbers) in this comparision are kind of irrelevant, what counts is the change in the numbers during the chosen period.

The only ps3 "heavey hitters out" are ratchet, uncharted, resistance, warhawk, and MGS4(more like the wii's heavy hitters are all out)

There are still plenty of titiles left which are more than what nintendo 1 st party and microsoft 1st party have put together.

3rd party exclusives, such as monster hunter I agree, but thats it. Mad world looks good, but its not a "heavy hitter" nor proven IP.

PS3 still has GRAN TURISMO 5, FF XIII, GOD OF WAR, ICO project, UNCHARTED 2(already confirmed), RESISTANCE 2, and even KILLZONE 2 to look up to, all of those with the exception of killzone are proven AAA titles from AAA devs.

Not to mention the yet to be announced ps2 to ps3 sequels, that we might hear about in E3.

Also the console may not be in 1st place, but it still getting more 3rd party support than the wii, and its outselling the cheaper 360 despite being highly priced.
