I think this overly negative for no particular reason.

A lot of what was shown is coming 2023, and with Sony being very willing to use SoPs at random times in the month, there's ample opportunity to focus on both announced and unannounced games. Sure, i agree that the lack of any updates on Steller Blade, Convorallia and Firewall Ultra is strange, but at the same time they're most likely finishing up development with 1 last trailer (their launch trailers) being the only thing to take time away from said development.

At the end of the day, Sony doesn't need their Showcase' to announce new PS Studio titles: they can do that very easily with SoPs. If anything, taking into account the number of major AAA 3rd party titles at the show, Sony were most likely bound by marketing contracts to start having avenues to advertise these games. A 'showcase' just allowed their partners to get a lot of eyes on their announcements, which is a win-win for all parties involved.

There's really nothing to be worried about.

I can understand your feeling towards it, and you are absolutely right with regards to the bolded. But to say I have "no particular reason" to feel negative seems a bit dismissive of valid concerns. Some studios should be at a point where they are ready to reveal some info on their coming games, and even some games that were revealed there is no indication as to what type of game it is or how it may play etc. Jim Ryan spoke about the next phase for PS5, however we still have no idea as to what's coming next year or in this next phase. It implies that what we saw is what's next. Hell it doesnt have to be in the long term, what is coming in Jan 2024 to June 2024? Anything at all from PS studios?

Sure it may be the case where they will hold back PS Studio reveals for SoPs but its been a number of years now, and we still havent seen anything really. Also Sony has not set a precedent for big reveals during SoPs those are normally for deep dives.

At the end of the day all these conferences, showcases and SoPs are all extra - as a consumer I really just want to see great games released on a yearly basis. As of right now im not super confident in whats coming in 2024.

Sorry, you're right. I shouldn't be dismissive of your concerns. I apologise.

But I don't think this is cause for concern. There's still a god few months to go. I imagine if we haven't heard anything by September/ October in relation to 2024 then maybe something is up.
