I've gotten level 25 legendaries lol Still, I've found pretty much everything you said to be a positive. First of all, the game is much more stable now, which is great. And yea, I love that the world boss is actually more of a challenge this time, tho I still downed him pretty easily with my rogue. I also like that legendaries aren't dropping left, right and center now. That kind of loot shouldn't be raining down so early in the leveling process. |
I tried running the fortress farm from the youtube video that is supposed to give 25 legendaries per hour, but I got only a single legendary from half an hour running it, and it was level 21 so I couldn't equip it. Guessing they fixed the fortress exploit with a server side update at some point since the video was posted on youtube earlier today. Ran multiple dungeons including the ones with the highest drop rates in the open beta, but got no legendaries from any of them. Only have 2 legendaries actually equipped, both rings from trading in the gambling currency with the vendor in Kyovashad.
I agree, those things are all fine for the main game. I just hate that they implemented these changes early when there is a limited time only trophy on the line, and all of these changes to make the game more difficult are preventing me and others from earning said trophy. I mean I guess they implemented them early because they wanted feedback on the changes, but if that is the goal, that feedback has been mostly negative. I saw Diablo 4's reddit was aflame yesterday and earlier today, lots of people complaining about the class balance (both the nerfs to the best builds from the open beta and the lack of buffs for several weaker skills people complained about in the open beta), the Ashava difficulty, them letting lower level players into the Ashava zone and griefing those trying to get the trophy, the poor loot level scaling allowing higher than level cap and way underleveled loot to drop, and the treasure goblins having poor drops now. Tonight though I'm seeing people are happy with the legendary drop rate being lower (mainly the diablo 2 fans, diablo 3 fans are unhappy with the drop rate), though many are still unhappy with the poor level scaling on the loot drops. People are also happy with the dungeon improvements they made since the open beta, so kudos to the devs for fixing the dungeons. I'm also seeing praise for the stability, considering the goal of the server slam was to stress test the servers, I have had no queue times or server crashes unlike the open beta, so I'm hopeful that the full launch in June will be stable now.
