I put a fair number of hours into Prime 2 and I enjoyed them a lot. I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't finish it, because MP3 came out and I couldn't wait to play Metroid with Wii controls.
For what I did play, my only complaint was the ammo system for light/dark beams. It's just a hassle I'd rather not have to worry about.
