Honestly the fact that you can get a 6700XT for less than the 3060 is bigger deal than whether the 6700XT is aging better than the 3070. They cards aren't in the same price class right now. You can get a RX 6800XT for the price of 3070 and you don't have worry about the 8GB frame buffer limiting your performance.
