Personally, I wouldn't mind them doing something like a Shadow of Mordor trilogy. The game was already made to look like it fit in the Peter Jackson Saga, plus they could borrow some of the actors from Rings of Power to play a few Elves. The question is if the story could translate well to film. I don't know enough about them to speculate on that. If not, perhaps they could make something that would imply the games are canonical to the film franchise without actually adapting the games themselves.
