I'd say Baldur's is bigger than niche now. It's still in early access and already in the 2-5m sales range on Steam Spy. To put that into perspective against other isometric RPG's, Wasteland 2, Wasteland 3, Disco Elysium, Pillars of Eternity 1, and Pillars of Eternity 2 are all on lower SteamSpy tiers than 2-5m. Pretty much the only other isometric RPG's bigger than that are Diablo games, Divinity Original Sin 2, and Path of Exile.
