Definitely agree with these.

  • Has been nearly 15 months since Ubisoft+ was announced as coming to Xbox, without a peep from either party about it.
  • Jason Ronald said that Xbox Expansion Cards would be open to other SSD Manufacturers in the future, but 2+ years later and Seagate still has an overpriced stranglehold on the expansion cards
  • Xbox said that cloud gaming would add a limited number of owned games in late 2022, it's now almost the end of February 2023 and nothing
  • Xbox began testing the Gamepass Family Plan in limited markets in August, it's now February and we have yet to hear a peep about it when the actual launch will be
  • Home improvements are definitely long overdue, literally everybody wants a smaller UI that lets us see our dynamic backgrounds properly, and they have yet to deliver on it, likely because they are worried about shrinking their ad space on the home screen, which 3rd parties pay them to use
  • DVR improvements are long overdue. The maximum recording length is short, recording quality isn't great. Some improvements are currently in testing such as a 30% bitrate increase for both 720p and 1080p recording allowing for higher quality recordings, but we are still lacking longer recording length and more.

Though Klobrille didn't list it here, an Xbox achievements revamp also feels overdue, the last major change to Achievements was the diamond rarity achievements and that was like 5 years ago now. Xbox brought achievements to gaming and were later copied by Valve and Sony, but it feels like they are just content to sit and watch their competition surpass them in Achievements, it is very disappointing.
