Do you have any proof for this? There's plenty of "hardcore" games on the Wii (Metroid, NMH, Zelda, SMG, etc.) yet I don't see people selling their Wiis in droves.

lol. And DQ IX is a step back because the DS is weaker than the PS2...right? And Megaman 9 is a step back becasue it's 8-bit? Really, it's not about the graphics. It's about expanding the audience.

 

DQ will be on the system with biggest installbase in Japan but FF on the best system. FF games are famous for graphics and its one of the reason its the biggest JRPG. FF7 had best graphics of its time so fans will expect HUGE leap which is not posible on Wii.
