It's actually amazing how much you can progress in melee in a short period of time, every time you learn something new or witness the AI do something and you evolve it, the other player does the same thing - you notice little quirks like which characters dodge longer and have wider hit boxes on grabs. Sadly I don't know anyone irl this town that's as enthusiastic about smash bros as I am, there are a few but they are not my... demographic and the distance to them would hurt gas wise.
